Thank you! To everyone who visited us this year in The Confetti Flower Field. It was a flipping fabulous flower festival of smiling faces, happy laughter, pretty dresses and colourful umbrellas. The good old British summer weather certainly kept us on our toes. We had downpours, scorching sunshine, and everything in between. The first weekend the Confetti Café sold out of hot chocolate, and the following weekend we couldn’t sell the ice creams fast enough… incredible.
Once again you all created a wonderful atmosphere in the field. We have been overwhelmed by the lovely photos you have sent in – overwhelmed in a very good way – both by number and emotion. So much cuteness and love captured in amongst the blooms. Thank you. We try to share as many as we can on social media – and one or two of you might even see yourselves on our website.
This year we are celebrating our 25th jubilee of growing wedding confetti petals. We really feel that the party in the flowers was a fitting way to honour this milestone. The performances by the choir and the silver band were a cherry on the top!
Confetti Field on TV!
And then of course, we were on This Morning with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield! Their garden guru Daisy Payne came to see us in the field and talk to Charles about growing confetti.
The Confetti Field has now been picked and the flowers are all finished. They have been cut down to compost into the earth and feed the soil for the next crop that comes along. Consequently, there is no further public access to our farm.
Missed out? Come and see us in summer 2023
Lots of people have been asking about next summer’s flower field: We won’t start working on the event until spring 2023, so look out for details in April or May next year. Please sign up to this blog or follow us on social media – FACEBOOK – or INSTAGRAM – to get the Confetti Field news and updates!
And finally, we’d like to thank our incredible Confetti Field staff. They work very hard and are always so friendly and cheerful, despite the sometimes challenging conditions. It’s 10 days of madness, but they must love it, because they keep coming back! We believe they are what makes our event so special, and so three cheers to #TeamConfetti
We really hope to see you in the flowers next summer 😊
With Love from The Petal People xxx
